Purchasing Head will oversee the procurement process for all materials, equipment, and services necessary for shipyard and repair operations. This role requires strategic planning, supplier management, and collaboration with various departments to ensure that purchasing activities align with operational needs and budget constraints.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
• Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and placing orders.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities and reliability.
• Monitor market trends and analyze data to forecast purchasing needs.
• Analyzing shipyard & repair needs
• Monitoring purchasing and logistics flows in the shipping sector
• Minimum education of Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
• Have worked in Shipping/Shipyard for at least 2-3 years
• Understand the accounting administration flow
• Understand the SAP program is an added value
• Able to speak in English (spoken & written)
• Able to speak in Mandarin (is an added value)
• Willing to travel on business
