• To supervise flawless operation of the plant process data historian system (PI System) for archiving and visualization of real-time data pertaining to all process plants and associated utilities.
• To maintain appropriate standards and best practices in network architecture, firewall configuration, remote backup, disaster recovery, failover configuration and interface design for all components of the PI system and all of its various interfaces (corporate network, DCS network, standalone data sources, other).
• To maintain the PI Server and other PI software components in an up-to-date state, including software licensing.
• To maintain PI point naming conventions and regularly audit the PI database for efficient use of license capacity; to configure new PI points as required.
• To deploy new PI modules, features and systems as required, facilitate training programs for new PI users and assist others to develop tools and systems using PI data and analytics.
• To supervise implementation of Standard Operating Processes, and relevant statutory, safety, health, environment norms.
• To monitor performance and enable continuous training of the technical services team supporting the site operations.
คุณสมบัติ
• Graduate in Chemical Engineering; Mineral Processing; Pyrometallurgy; Metallurgical Engineering; Process Engineering OR Graduate IT or Computer Science or similar qualification but with a diploma or similar in some form of chemical, process or manufacturing engineering.
• 3+ years at PI sysadmin level; fully conversant with PI point configuration; PI notifications particularly SMS; hardware selection and installation; AF implementation; contractor management; installation and setup of new data sources (LIMS, SQL, other).
• The applicant does not need a background in smelter process or process engineering, however any applicant who does have chemical engineering / process engineering / manufacturing engineering would be highly regarded. The distinction between continuous processes and batch processes is particularly important, any demonstrated capability with PI-Batch is valuable.
• 3-7 years of experience in process plants.
• Domain knowledge of process plants of some form (petrochemical, pharmaceutical or chemical process plants would be acceptable).
