We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the warehousing and distribution operations for our customers. This role is focused on maximizing operational efficiency, meeting customer service benchmarks, and driving continuous improvement to world-class standards. The Warehouse Manager will also be responsible for ensuring financial performance, employee development, safety management, and fostering strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the distribution and warehousing of customer Minor Foods products in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.
• Maintain continuous improvement standards, updating warehouse and associated business procedures, including customs processes.
• Ensure the timely delivery of accurate reports, including daily invoicing, weekly revenue, and profit/loss summaries, using systems like Foxtrax or SAP.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer Minor Foods managers to meet customer objectives and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Ensure agreed customer objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently met or exceeded.
• Deliver productive outcomes through effective utilization of warehouse resources, ensuring that customer service benchmarks are achieved.
• Produce budgets, resource, and capital planning reports, ensuring cost-effective warehouse operations.
• Analyze weekly key performance indicators to optimize efficiency and profitability.
• Maximize warehouse capabilities by developing a strong customer base and identifying business development opportunities.
• Implement initiatives focused on cost containment, maximizing profit, and meeting both budgetary and customer objectives.
• Ensure the warehouse is staffed with adequately trained employees to maintain customer service levels.
• Anticipate and resolve any issues related to customers, equipment, and staff promptly.
• Foster effective communication between Linfox, customers, employees, and contractors.
• Develop the potential of warehouse personnel through training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure succession planning.
• Participate in negotiations of Enterprise Agreements and other Industrial Relations matters to maintain positive labor relations.
• Uphold corporate values and ensure employees adhere to them as well.
• Implement and oversee the Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policy, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and legislative requirements.
• Monitor and supervise health and safety through formal processes such as risk assessments, workplace inspections, and accident/incident reviews.
• Proven experience in warehouse management within the FMCG, food, and restaurant chain sectors.
• Strong understanding of cold chain logistics and retail operations.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and software.
