We are looking for a Manager, Compensation & Benefits for our Asia Pacific region to join Valmet’s Compensation and Benefits team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Compensation & Benefits professional to work for a forward-looking company.
As a region Compensation & Benefits manager you are responsible for high quality implementation of our global C&B processes in Asia Pacific.
• Develop, implement and administer global and country level compensation and benefits programs according to business needs and ensure local regulatory requirements and compliance are met.
• Implement Valmet Global Compensation & Benefits guidelines, processes, tools and projects in the region in co-operation with operational HR and business management to serve business needs.
• Serve as the regional owner of job evaluation process, pay range development, pay position analysis and salary reviews, incentive plans and local benefit programs.
• Lead integration of compensation and benefits programs following M&A/integration deals or setting up new operations.
• Participate in global C&B process development as a member of the global C&B network, bring regional view and best practices to the attention of global C&B.
• Provide process support, advice and training for operational HR in the region regarding all C&B processes and practices.
• Prepare and distribute information on C&B policies to raise awareness and spread knowledge.
To Be Successful In This Role
• You have relevant educational background, for example: Minimum of bachelor’s degree in human resource, business management, or related field of education. Post-graduation is an added advantage.
• Typically, a 10 years’ work experience in the Human Resources field, out of which 5 years in a Compensation & Benefit position for any multi-country region (preferably Asia Pacific region), supporting a global business in a multi-cultural environment.
• Solid expertise and keen interest in Compensation and Benefits aspects for various kind of roles (including manufacturing environment C&B matters).
• You have excellent motivation and attitude, and ability to achieve results under pressure.
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English is a must along with effective communication and presentation skills.
• You should also have willingness and ability to travel within the region as needed.
• You have networking skills and an ability to quickly build relationships and achieve results both individually and as part of a team.
• You should have relevant IT skills, for example MS Office with strong MS Excel skills. Any other relevant HR systems / tools is an added advantage.
