The Mining Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing mining operations and activities for various projects, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while addressing public complaints and environmental issues.
Kewajiban
• Plans, coordinates, and manages the mining operations and mining activities for mining projects; investigates and resolves public complaints and environmental problems with related parties.
• Prepares engineering plans, specifications, construction estimates, and engineering reports related to the project requirements of assigned special mining projects.
• Analyzes and makes recommendations regarding changes made to the approved Plans for special mining projects to ensure compliance with Laws and Regulations and any requirements such as slope, drainage, and backfill standards, slope remediation, and revegetation.
• Manages the day-to-day activities of the mine operators to ensure compliance with the Project Development Plan and License and Environmental Regulations.
• Prepares and submits monthly, quarterly and yearly mining activities reports to related government including daily reports on tonnage of cubic yards produced and safety reports.
• Coordinates independent mining and inspections with consultants, including geotechnical analyses and conducts site inspections.
• Participates in the development and administration of assigned program budget; forecasts funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitors and approves expenditures; recommends adjustments as necessary.
• Administers contracts related to the mining operation of special mining projects.
• Plans, coordinates, and supervises the work of assigned staff; provides or coordinates staff training; works with employees to correct deficiencies; resolves questions and complaints.
• Conducts site surveys and performs research and analyses on mining and reclamation issues; collects survey data to evaluate and prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for various project improvements.
• Monitors related laws and regulations and proposed legislation and regulations to determine impacts upon mining programs.
• Provides assistance to developers, contractors, engineering professionals, Subdistrict Administrative Organization and any government officers regarding mining projects.
• Attends and participates in professional group meetings; stays abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of engineering.
• Performs related duties as required.
Kualifikasi
• Education: Graduated in Mining Engineering (A Master’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field is often preferred.)
• Experience: 15+ Years and background in mining industry and montmorillonite or smectite group mineral mining is preferred.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or Mine Manager Certification, are advantageous. Safety certifications (e.g., MSHA, OSHA) may also be required depending on the region.
• Mining Techniques: In-depth knowledge of various mining methods (e.g., open pit, underground) and the associated technologies.
• Leadership Roles: At least 5-10 years of experience in senior management positions, such as Operations Manager, Mine Manager, or General Manager, with a proven track record of overseeing large-scale mining operations.
