Symphony Communication Public Company Limited or SYMC is a Telecommunication network and service provider in Thailand, providing high speed and reliable network for both domestic and international connectivity and value-added services to serve the fast-growing data demand in Thailand and ASEAN. Currently, the Company holds the Telecommunication Service License Type II and Type III, permitted by Office of The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (“NBTC”) to provide services for International Private Leased Circuit (IPLC) both terrestrial and submarine coverage and IP-Virtual Private Network (IP-VPN). In addition, the Company has also received the Internet Operation Type I and II to provide internet service and operate International Internet Gateway (IIG) and National Internet Exchange (NIX).

Detail posisi

The Head of Strategic Sourcing Section is responsible for overseeing the entire procurement and contracting process, ensuring compliance with company policies, and managing vendor relationships to achieve favorable conditions for the organization.

Kewajiban

• Take care of the entire procurement and contracting process, including sourcing and selecting vendors, determining prices and services to comply with the established policies, comparing and negotiating with suppliers to obtain favorable conditions for the company.
• Provide consultation and guidance on the procurement and contracting process, as well as the selection of goods and services, to the assigned procurement team and users, ensuring that the operations align with the company's policies and result in suitable, quality products at the budgeted prices.
• Summarize the details of purchase orders and deliveries (Tracking PO pending) and follow up with vendor compliance in case of product or service issues or delays in accordance with the agreed-upon terms.
• Collaborate in the selection and evaluation of suppliers to ensure quality vendors, while also managing the database and reviewing the performance of suppliers.
• Review the performance of subordinates to ensure adherence to plans and provide guidance on problem-solving and preventive measures, offering recommendations to facilitate smooth operations.
• Improve the efficiency of the procurement team and manage work processes within the procurement department.
• Review, improve, amend, and develop policies related to the procurement department and inventory management.
• Manage risks arising from the procurement department's operational activities.
• Collaborate with users to define the characteristics and standards of products and services required for project work.
• Coordinate with the finance and accounting departments to develop payment plans for high-value projects.
• Establish goals, strategies, plans, and work procedures for the procurement department that align with the company's strategies and objectives.
• Approve purchase orders and payment for goods and services.
• Build up and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain the annual plans and budgets for the procurement department.
• Prepare procurement and progress reports for superiors.
• Other assigned tasks as required.

Kualifikasi

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, management or relevant field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in the field of procurement or in a related.
• Good command in English.
• Knowledge in technology, equipment, or services to be purchased.
• Knowledge in basic principle of accounting.
• Good skills in communication, coordination, and negotiation.
• Good skills in managing time, cost, and quality.
• Good skills in Leadership, good interpersonal, and a sense of responsibility and honesty.
• Good skills in service-minded, Problem-solving.
