The Procurement Commodity Manager-Indirect, DSP, Government Affair is responsible for leading procurement activities, identifying savings opportunities, and managing a commodity team to align with global and regional strategies.
Kewajiban
• To lead the procurement activities e.g., contract, negotiation, proposal in the applicable portfolio, ensuring that this aligns to the Global and Regional procurement and business strategies.
• Responsible for understanding what activities are happening in the business which could create an opportunity within the portfolio to save money or add value, and then ensuring that Procurement takes an active, early, and appropriate role in the activity to generate maximum benefit.
• Responsible for proactively identifying and delivering savings and added value from the portfolio and reporting all the benefits achieved by the team and by others in supplier facing actions.
• MAJOR CONTRACTS or procurement strategy with about 90 A/B suppliers.
• Coach, guiding, mentoring, and involving the team as necessary to achieve the above.
• To be the key driver in delivering synergy target and facilitate projects and fasten the success.
• To improve Productivity related communication among departments.
• To focus on project and be the center for Thailand e.g., signal commitment from group/management and vice versa.
• Manage the commodity team to be a strong, motivated, and actively involved in the business and portfolio.
• Agree performance contract and objectives for subordinates and manage them suitably to achieve this.
• Develop staff through coaching, training, and personal development plans to contribute effectively within the business.
• Understand the local business, regional and global procurement strategies and develop a plan for benefit identification and delivery that will meet or exceed the portfolio’s objectives and aligns with the business plans.
• Network within the business to identify opportunities for procurement to deliver value and savings.
• Agree processes with the key internal customers to ensure procurements early involvement in projects which will incur external spend.
• Accountable for achieving the benefits (savings and value add targets) of the team.
• Ensure that all savings whether made by Procurement or the business which are supplier facing is recorded correctly.
• Work with the Regional Lead buyer and Procurement Manager for the portfolio to ensure:
• Agreement on which product groups, contracts or areas are the responsibility of the Global/Regional team and which are local.
• Define and align the implementation strategy for global deals into country so that suppliers and internal customers are aware of “one voice” from Procurement.
• For Globally managed areas ensure that the Global Procurement person responsible understands our business requirements and constraints so that they construct deals that add value to the region and can be implemented successfully or agree that the local has an exemption from the application of this agreement.
• Lead and facilitate cross-functional and cross-organizational sourcing initiatives in collaboration with other parts of the organization.
• Work with internal customers up to Business Head level, to understand their needs and to deliver with them optimum solution for the business.
