Mechanical Inspection Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations, leading inspection teams, maintaining records, managing projects, providing technical advice, and conducting investigations in the field of mechanical inspection.
Kewajiban
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards, including safety standards. This may involve staying up-to-date on relevant legislation and ensuring that the organization's practices align with these rules.
• Training and Leadership as a senior role, this position often requires leading and mentoring a team of engineers or technicians. The engineer might also provide guidance and training on inspection techniques, tools, and procedures.
• Maintain inspection records and prepare comprehensive reports detailing the results of inspections. This often involves presenting recommendations to management or customers based on the results of inspections or tests.
• Responsible for managing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and in compliance with regulations and standards.
• Provide technical advice and consultation services to other team members, departments, or even external customers.
• Be involved in investigating incidents as well as researching new technologies or improvements in the fields of inspection and asset integrity management.
• Liaise and coordinate with internal departments, regulatory bodies, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that inspections go smoothly and that any necessary follow-up activities are carried out efficiently.
• To be the Approver for remaining life assessment of boilers and pressure vessels according to law of Thailand.
Kualifikasi
• Bachelor’s degree or master’s Degree in mechanical, metallurgical, materials, or welding engineering.
• Experience over 10 years regarding inspection service and/or QA/QC in power plants, refinery and chemical/petrochemical industries.
• Certified senior professional engineer with experience at least 5 years regarding inspection, failure analysis, mechanical integrity assessment or fitness-for-service of pressure vessels and boilers.
• Knowledgeable in pressure vessels inspection, integrity assessment and NDT methods.
• AMPP (NACE), API, ASNT NDT Level III (VT, MT, PT, UT & RT), ASME or ANSI certificates would be advantage.
