The Project and Business Development Engineer - Water & Energy will support the Asia Sub-Regional Service Line Director in project management, business development, and bid preparation with a focus on water management and flood risk management projects. The role includes coordinating with other engineers and prioritizing project delivery, particularly for the 'Lower Eastern Chao Phraya River Water System Project' in Thailand.
Kewajiban
Responsibilities for business development include:
• Develop new strategic business opportunities, lead and support major strategic projects
• Coordinate internally with the involved functions in the Region and Service Lines of the BL
• Lead and Manage the Bid team and related processes (Go/No Go, Bid No Bid, bid production/pricing)
• Support the production of communications materials for the Water & Energy Service Line in Asia
• Organise Egis participation at conference and industry events
Responsibilities for project delivery include:
• Technical production (directly producing or coordinating production for studies and deliverables focusing on water resources and flood risk management - hydrology, climate change assessment etc)
• Project coordination and management (including quality assurance, preparing and updating programmes and budgets, coordination with Egis colleagues and support functions)
Responsibilities specific to Assistant Team Leader role on the 'Lower Eastern Chao Phraya River System Project':
• Support to Team Leader for team organisation and management including preparation and updating of organogram, contact list, project programme, progress reporting, meeting agendas and minutes
• Technical support where possible include review of previous project documentation, summarising inputs of experts, conducting tasks including GIS, climate change assessment etc where appropriate
• As required, additional support to Project Consortium Director for contractual, finance and HR aspects (management of contract between Egis and ADB)
Kualifikasi
Minimum 5 years’ professional experience
Master’s Degree (MSc) in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Management or similar
Experience of water resources and/or flood risk management engineering in Southeast Asia
Experience of working with Asian Development Bank (ADB) or other International Funding Institutions
Technical skills in GIS, hydrological modelling and climate change assessment
Excellent written and spoken English, French and ASEAN regional languages (Tagalog, Thai, Bahasa..) also an advantage
