The Overseas Purchase Manager is responsible for managing supplier relationships, developing procurement strategies, overseeing order management, ensuring quality control, coordinating logistics, managing budgets, mitigating risks, and handling shipping processes.
Kewajiban
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with overseas suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals.
• Monitor market trends and assess opportunities for cost savings.
• Oversee the procurement process, from order placement to delivery.
• Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
• Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Coordinate inspections and manage quality assurance processes.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to manage shipping, customs clearance, and inventory management.
• Address any issues related to shipping delays or damages.
• Monitor and manage procurement budgets.
• Analyze spending patterns and report on cost-saving initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with overseas procurement, including geopolitical and economic factors.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
• Verify the accuracy of invoices and packing lists, as well as other relevant forms.
• Manage bookings, Bill of Lading (BL), and Air Waybill (AWB).
• Prepare import and export customs declarations.
• Handle tax payments.
• Communicate with the Department of Foreign Trade regarding forms requested by clients.
• Review product classifications for imports and exports.
• Oversee customs clearance procedures (release of goods).
• Coordinate the transportation of goods from customs checkpoints to the office.
• Manage documentation related to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Kualifikasi
Qualifications and Skills:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Several years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably with international focus.
• Skills:
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics.
• Familiarity with international trade regulations and customs processes.
