The Upstream Chemicals Technical Manager - SEA position at Baker Hughes involves managing resources and logistics for services and maintenance activities on customers' sites. The role also includes collaborating with internal and external customers to provide production chemistry solutions and ensuring technical service delivery.

Kewajiban

• Collaborating with internal and external customers to establish fit for purpose production chemistry solutions
• Working alongside the Service Delivery Coordinator and Regional Technical manager to align on goals
• Utilising the regional Technical Service Request (TSR) system for technical solutions
• Troubleshooting challenging customer production chemistry issues as part of a team
• Providing technical support to upstream chemicals supply and service tenders
• Raising project requests via the Clarity system for testing outside the region
• Drafting Cost – Time – Resource (CTR) for testing in regional laboratories
• Drafting work instructions for testing in regional laboratories
• Working with regional laboratory technicians and chemists to complete TSRs
• Analysing data and communicating results through technical reports and presentations
• Drafting and reviewing procedures to improve technical service delivery
• Reviewing local team technical reports and mentoring to improve technical writing skills
• Travelling to customer offices for face-to-face meetings and discussions
• Travelling offshore to customer locations when necessary
• Mentoring Baker Hughes employees to improve their upstream chemicals knowledge
• Identifying gaps in service delivery and taking steps to improve and overcome them

Kualifikasi

• Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related science discipline
• Minimum of 10 years of oilfield upstream chemicals/production chemistry experience
• Experience in various oilfield treating chemical applications
• Willingness to travel to other countries and oilfields as required
