The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of products. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this role involves managing a team of production staff, coordinating with other departments, and implementing strategies to optimize production operations and meet company goals. The Production Manager will also be involved in budgeting, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
1. Oversee the daily operations of the production unit.
2. Develop and implement production plans to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products.
3. Monitor and assess performance of production staff.
4. Maintain accurate records of production output and report any discrepancies to upper management.
5. Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for production.
6. Ensure that production processes are in compliance with safety regulations.
7. Monitor and assess the quality of products to ensure customer satisfaction.
8. Develop and implement cost reduction strategies.
9. Manage production budgets and ensure that costs stay within budgetary limits.
10. Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers for raw materials and other production-related items.
• Demonstrated experience in production management and processes
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and quality assurance standards
• Familiarity with industry-standard production software and equipment
