IT Project Manager - MMS Assessment (3 months contract)
About this position
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with key stakeholders (e.g., Merchandising, Supply Chain, Trade, IT, Operations).
• Gather and document business requirements for the MMS assessment.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues.
• Track project progress and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Identify the gap of the features, modules, technologies, and performance of the existing MMS and related systems.
Stakeholder Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, business users, and IT teams.
• Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment.
Data Analysis & Reporting
• Analyze existing MMS systems gaps, and data and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on the assessment findings, including recommendations for system enhancements or replacements.
• Present assessment findings and recommendations to senior management.
Technical Expertise
• Possess a strong understanding of ERP or related to Merchandising Management Systems and their functionalities (e.g., product lifecycle management, assortment planning, demand forecasting, inventory management).
• Familiarity with industry practices and using technologies in the retail/merchandising domain.
Quality Assurance
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of all project deliverables.
• Conduct regular quality reviews and implement necessary corrective actions.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: MBA or Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably within a retail, wholesale, trading or e-commerce environment.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
