Our customer is a worldwide provider of Packaging solutions for food, non-food, pharma and pet food. This company employs around 500 people worldwide and recently opened their Southeast Asia regional office based in Bangkok, Thailand. To support the growth of their activity throughout the region, they are currently hiring an international minded Accountant to support their compliance activities. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment with expatriates and the ability to grow to a managerial role.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports for transactions in Thailand.
• Ensure accurate bookkeeping by liaising with key departments like Sales and Service.
• Coordinate and facilitate punctual external audits on a yearly basis.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes for timely and accurate transactions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee regional payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll in Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
• Assist the managing director in performing budgets and forecasts.
• Report financial activities to the global CFO based in Germany.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making and strategic planning.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes for timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken (business level)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Flexibility, resilience, and a hands-on mentality
• Ability to work independently and be self-organized
