About this position

The Industrial Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems for industrial processes. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation needs, optimize production efficiency, and ensure smooth operations. This position reports to the Head of Engineering and will play a crucial role in driving innovation and enhancing productivity within the company.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and processes in industrial settings.
• Conducting feasibility studies and analyzing production requirements to determine the most suitable automation solutions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify automation needs and develop project plans.
• Programming and configuring PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and other automation equipment.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to automation systems.
• Conducting regular maintenance and calibration of automation equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitoring and analyzing data from automated systems to identify areas for improvement and optimize efficiency.
• Providing training and technical support to operators and maintenance staff on the operation and maintenance of automation systems.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in industrial automation technology and recommending upgrades or modifications to existing systems.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in the design and implementation of automation systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems and technologies
• Experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting automated systems
• Proficiency in programming languages such as PLC, SCADA, and HMI
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
