The Research Associate/Analyst - AnimalDx will work closely with the technical lead to design and develop research strategies and experimental protocols aligned with project goals, ensuring alignment with overall project goals, timelines, and required outputs.
• Work closely with the technical lead to design and develop research strategies and experimental protocols aligned with project goals.
• Ensure alignment with overall project goals, timelines, and required outputs.
• Conduct both dry lab and wet lab tasks according to the research design.
• Identify, document, and communicate any issues encountered during the experimental process to the technical lead promptly.
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records of experiments, results, and procedures.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, contributing to technical discussions.
• Proactively troubleshoot technical issues that arise in both dry and wet lab environments.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety regulations and ensure experiments are conducted following proper safety protocols.
• Suggest improvements or adjustments to experimental protocols if necessary.
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date inventory of all consumables in the experiments.
• Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in Molecular Biology research, including DNA/RNA extractions, PCR and qPCR, is required.
• Experience with dPCR and sequencing techniques is a plus.
• Recent graduates with relevant research experience are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledgeable in Molecular Biology and bioinformatics tools, with a strong emphasis on designing primers and probes for experimental procedures.
• Capable of structuring research designs, documenting findings, and preparing detailed reports.
• Possesses critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
• Agile, persistent, proactive, and capable of working independently or in a team.
