Sales Engineer - Indonesia (Food and Seafood Machinery and Equipment Industry)
About this position
Responsibilities
• Conduct market studies to assess sales potential in the Food and Seafood Machinery & Processing sector in Indonesia.
• Identify and target potential customers to enhance the company's presence and profitability in Indonesia.
• Build and maintain strong business relationships through regular customer visits.
• Gather technical information during customer discussions to support proposal development.
• Collaborate with the Applications department to create viable and technically sound customer propositions.
• Maintain ongoing communication with customers to ensure all necessary information is provided until the deal is closed.
• Identify and participate in relevant conferences, exhibitions, and business events to foster relationships and showcase company solutions.
• Deliver technical discussions and presentations to highlight the benefits of the company's offerings.
• Report business activities, including sales forecasts and budgets, to the CEO in Thailand.
• Travel regularly to Thailand for meetings and updates on business performance.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering (or equivalent with a technical background)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in selling machinery and industrial equipment within the food and/or seafood industry
• Outgoing and persuasive personality
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Proactive, self-reliant, and goal-oriented
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Possess existing technical knowledge and understanding of processes in the food industry
• Excellent written and verbal English skills
• Own a vehicle to travel locally
• Readiness to travel frequently locally and in Thailand
