RF Engineer (Bangkok, chonburi)
About this position
We are seeking an RF Engineer to join our team for a telecommunication project in Thailand. As part of a vendor you will focus on RF network optimization for mobile networks (2G, 3G, 4G LTE, 5G). Your role will be crucial in ensuring optimal network performance, troubleshooting, and enhancing KPIs for mobile operators in Thailand.
Responsibilities
• Optimize cell coverage and capacity to improve network KPIs, including call drop rates, throughput, handover success rates, and coverage.
• Proactively monitor network performance and implement parameter tuning to optimize traffic handling and minimize interference.
• Conduct neighbor relation optimization to enhance handover success and reduce call drop rates.
• Optimize handover strategies for seamless user experience across technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G).
• Monitor real-time KPIs and troubleshoot performance degradation, such as poor coverage, high interference, or data congestion.
• Perform root-cause analysis of RF-related issues and provide actionable solutions to improve network performance.
• Generate optimization reports with clear recommendations on adjustments needed to improve performance metrics (e.g., SINR, RSRP, throughput).
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and support their development in RF optimization tasks.
• Work closely with company-specific tools to implement, configure, and optimize network elements.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in RF network optimization or wireless network design within the telecommunication industry.
• Strong understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G technologies and their optimization processes.
• Experience in network parameter tuning (e.g., power, tilt, antenna azimuth, handover thresholds) to improve performance.
• Able to communicate in English language for work.
