About this position

The Product Manager – Braking is responsible for conducting market research, engaging with customers, supporting sales and marketing efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and delivery of braking products.

Responsibilities

• Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape in the braking products. Use insights to guide product development and positioning.
• Strategy & Sales planning: Engages in strategy & sales planning, incl. strategic & operational planning, define measures to achieve the target.
• Customer Engagement: Engage with customers and key stakeholders to gather feedback and understand their needs. Use this feedback to drive product improvements and innovation.
• Sales and Marketing Support: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop product positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials. Provide training and support to ensure successful product launches and ongoing sales efforts.
• Product training: Offer regular training to the field sales and the business’ customers. Coordinate responses to customer and consumer inquiries regarding product variations and technical questions.
• Performance Monitoring: Set, drive and track key performance indicators to measure product success. Analyze sales & margin data, customer feedback, and market trends & shares to make data-driven decisions and optimize product performance.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including other category team members, commercial excellence (incl. pricing) team, operations (incl. supply chain, purchasing, quality) team and customer support to ensure the successful development and delivery of braking products.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the automotive aftermarket or braking systems segment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong technical knowledge of braking systems and components.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and standards.
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and customer feedback.
• Language skills: English proficient.
