Accounting Team Lead (Bookkeeping)
About this position
The Accounting Team Lead (Bookkeeping) is responsible for overseeing accurate financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulations while leading the accounting team.
Responsibilities
• Ensure all journal entries and financial transactions are accurate.
• Prepare journal entries relating to amortization, depreciation, accruals, etc.
• Reconciling accounts with the general ledger.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
• Prepare Balance sheets, Trial balances, and Profit/Loss statements.
• Publish financial statements in time.
• Ensure timely bank payments.
• Analyze financial information to support budgeting and forecasting requirements and provide solutions to control issues.
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
• Comply with Government regulations and company policies.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least 3 years experience in general ledger accounting, or similar.
• CPD license is required.
• Proficiency in accounting and business management software, such as ERP.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Superb time-management and skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
