About this position
The position of Contamination and ESD Control Engineering at Western Digital involves leading a team focused on electrostatic discharge (ESD) failure analysis, ensuring effective solutions and preventive measures are implemented to maintain product quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
• Lead and Coach a team of Electrostatic Control to ensure comprehensive coverage of ESD failure analysis, identifying the root cause, containment actions, solutions and preventive measures.
• Expertise technical activities that related to manufacturing with engineering approaches for the implementation solutions to closure and ensure the sustainable good results.
• Supervise staffs in organization in responsibility to accomplish job in most effective way.
• Enhance and expand the ESD failure analysis capability of the Team.
• Develop staffs in organization’s performance in continuously upgrading the ESD failure analysis skills with proper training and supervision.
• Build up effective team work for both internal and external organization.
• Work closely with counterparts or related organization to ensure new products launched as commit the Company target.
• Extensive involvement, Coordinates and Provides solution with Production, Process, and Tooling in failure analysis activities to ensure product conformance to yield, quality, cost and reliability requirements.
Requirements
• Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering or related field
• At least 10 years working experience preferably in engineering related field or consumer electronics industries
• At least 5 years working experience in the managerial of technical leadership capacity

• Fluent English communication
• Computer literacy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
