Wellington College Bangkok opened in August 2018 and has quickly gained a reputation for being one of Bangkok’s leading international schools. Currently the School has 800+ students aged between 2 and 16, across Pre-Nursery to Year 11. In August 2024 we will open a Sixth Form for students aged 16-18 and the eventual plan is to accommodate 1500+ students. We offer the English National Curriculum leading to IGCSEs at the end of Year 11 and A-levels at the end of Year 13. About this position

The Part-Time Swim Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging swimming lessons, guiding students towards performance-focused swimming, and preparing them for competitive meets, while ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate swimming lessons, adhering to the WEX curriculum and teaching philosophy.
• Lead and guide students who are progressing towards performance-focused swimming, ensuring each child reaches their potential.
• Utilise the WEX assessment tracker to monitor and assess students' development, providing tailored feedback and adapting your teaching approach to meet individual needs.
• Prepare swimmers for competitive meets through structured and effective practice sessions.
• A specialism in coaching younger swimmers (ages 4-7) is highly desirable.
• Provide cover for swim squad sessions in the absence of other staff members.

Requirements

• Relevant certifications in swim teaching and coaching.
• Proven experience in teaching swim lessons to various age groups.
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
• Dedication to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Ability to inspire and motivate young swimmers to excel and embrace challenges.
