Tax & Statutory Manager
About this position
The Tax & Statutory Manager is responsible for analyzing tax laws, developing tax strategies, and managing statutory financial statements.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and control and input and output VAT, Withholding taxes, Stamp duties etc.
• Prepare and file Corporate Income Tax return (PND50, 51), BOI and IBC report
• Review Corporate Income Tax and Commercial Tax for countries under Greater Thailand
• Identify and monitor taxes related to core business operations (e.g. intercompany transactions, foreign payment transactions)
• Review share service monthly/quarterly/yearly tax reconciliation
• Support cash flow forecast for tax payment plan
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including review journal entries and account reconciliations related to tax account
• Responsible for submit statutory audited financial statements under Greater Thailand
• Liaise with external auditors and tax team for compliance purpose
• Proactively coordinate with Thai Revenue Department on tax audit matters (CIT, VAT, PIT)
• Assist management team on any tax related matters
• Proactive approach to work, can work with minimum supervision but will escalate important issues to the appropriate level of management as required.
• Ad-hoc reports as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years experience in Thai tax, and international tax experience (Bangladesh, Vietnam, Myanmar, Singapore)
• Experienced in discussion with Revenue Department officer.
• Trained/experienced in US GAAP and Thai GAAP accounting.
• Fluent communication skills in English
• JD Edwards and Hyperion knowledge are desirable.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills is preferred.
• Good teamwork and ability to work under tight deadline and pressure
• Ability to use initiative, judgement,work with minimum supervision and report to a remotely Line Manager.
• Analytical awareness and problem solving skills.
