Field Application Engineer
About this position
We seeking a Field Application Engineer who possesses a strong understanding of explosion-proof control panels, automation solutions, and engineering design services. The ideal candidate will work closely with the sales and engineering teams to provide technical expertise to customers and ensure smooth project execution. This role requires an individual with a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer relations.
Responsibilities
• Provide technical support and product expertise to customers on explosion-proof control panels, automation systems, and other related products.
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions using Versed Automation’s product portfolio.
• Conduct product demonstrations, site visits, and technical presentations to showcase the capabilities of the company’s solutions.
• Assist in the development and customization of control systems according to client specifications.
• Work with the engineering team on the integration of products, ensuring compliance with industry standards, especially in hazardous areas.
• Manage technical inquiries and troubleshoot application issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Support the design, implementation, and commissioning of projects, ensuring successful delivery on time and within scope.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and competitors to provide cutting-edge solutions.
• Prepare estimate cost technical documentation and reports for internal and external use.
Requirements
• Fluency in both Thai and English for effective communication with local and international clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• Understanding of explosion-proof solutions, hazardous area classifications (Exd, Exe, Exp enclosures), and automation products.
• Hands-on experience with control panel design, PLC programming, and system integration.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with standards and certifications in hazardous environments (ATEX, IECEx).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to interface with both technical and non-technical clients.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
