About this position

We are looking for Accountant (2-year contract) based in Laem Chabang, Chonburi, reporting to the Business Controller, Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities

• Procure to Pay. Accounts Payable tasks ensuring account balances are up-to-date and correct in financial accounting and reporting. Manage Accounts Payable related reporting, drive issue resolution and provide expertise in accounts payable matters.
• Applying Valmet payment policy
• Supplier finance masterdata set-up and maintenance
• Accounts payable daily controlling, data validation
• Possible period-end accruals
• Accounts Payable Period-end closing, reconciliations, valuations and balance sheet specifications
• Validating and creating payment files
• Balances inquiries & monitoring
• Procure to Pay. Travel and Expense Claims management of travel and expense claims ensuring that financial data from travel system is correct and complete in financial accounting and reporting. Manage travel and expense claim related reporting, drive issue resolution and provide expertise in expense claim matters.
• Ensuring compliance with Valmet travel policy including statutory requirements
• Travel claims processing including legal requirements and basic data validation (e.g. Tax handling)
• Expense claims processing
• Validating and creating payment files
• Period-end closing, reconciliations, balance sheet specifications and corrections
• Order to Cash. Performing accounting activities to comply with reporting requirements, accounting principles (IFRS) and other regulations.
• Managing credit management and accounts receivables processes covering full audit trail from master data and logistics to general ledger and reporting.
• Daily processing of customer receipts, accounts matchings and data data validation and controlling
• Account balances monitoring e.g. overdues
• Managing allowance on trade receivable
• Period-end closing, accounts reconciliations, valuations, validation of financial data and creating accounts specifications
• Ensuring compliance with Valmet collection policy and Valmet credit policy and processing business partner credit master data checking and maintenance
• Identifying requirements and gaps in solutions and conducting change management.
• Providing expertise and coaching in accounting principles and practices to accountants, controllers and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related fields
• 3-5 years relevant experiences
• Must be expert in MS excel.
• Good communication English skills (Japanese language is a plus).
• Ability to communicated with other, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
• Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
