About this position

The Finance and Accounting Director is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and leading the finance and accounting team to drive organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze revenue, expenses, cash flow, and profitability. Provide actionable insights, recommendations, financial forecasting, and budgeting analysis to the management team.
• Oversee and optimize systems for General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and project management accounting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage relationships with tax and accounting auditors, ensuring compliance and smooth execution of audits. Maintain ongoing communication with auditors and tax authorities.
• Establish and maintain processes for accurate reconciliation of fixed assets, AP, accruals, and other related accounts.
• Develop and implement finance policies and strategic initiatives to drive continuous improvement and align with organizational goals.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of balance sheet reconciliations and oversee the balance sheet. Oversee preparation and analysis of cash flow statements and strategically manage cash flow to support organizational goals and financial stability.
• Lead and manage strategic ad hoc projects, ensuring they align with organizational objectives and are executed successfully.
• Ensure effective month-end and year-end closing processes. Identify and implement improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and establish a fraud risk management framework with robust internal controls.
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, focusing on performance management, skill development, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• CPA or Chartered Accountant certification preferred (CPD required).
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Thai Tax and Accounting Standards.
• Strong experience with stock exchange regulations and PAE financial statements.
• Proficiency in integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (iERP) systems.
• Proven ability to analyze and reconcile Balance Sheets and financial statements, including coordination with external auditors. Experience in financial consolidation and reporting processes.
• Experience in Retail business is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team effectively.
