Safety Officer (Contract 1 Year)
About this position
Responsibilities
• Monitor the implementation and compliance with the UNITHAI workforce, Subcontractors, Alliance partners, Shipping Captains and Visitors.
• Monitor compliance with National and International Health, Safety & Security control legislation.
• Identify specialist advice and training requirements.
• Practice and be fully conversant with the emergency response and evacuation plans, and preparedness.
• Assist with the Organization of the UNITHAI HSS department in a sufficient manner to ensure that Health, Safety & Security control protection is adequately provided to all UNITHAI workplace activities.
• Provide continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that UNITHAI reaches the highest professional worldwide standards of Health, Safety & Security control protection.
• Acknowledge and understand the policy, objective and target that the company issue, and have to perform follow this system to achieve the specific policy.
• Strictly abide by any procedures and any work instruction concerned.
• To suggest to improve the procedures or work instructions properly.
• Monitoring and preventive the effect of working to environment.
• To reduce the environmental impact which caused by the working activities.
Requirements
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in occupational health and safety and/or Safety Engineer or related field.
• Certificated in Safety Officer at the professional level.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in the safety field from construction or refinery, shipyard business.
• People-oriented and results-driven.
• Good active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Good computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Willingness and ability to learn quickly.
• Proactive, highly self-motivated, positive attitude.
• Fluent in English both writing and verbal.
