About this position
Responsibilities
• Support the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of programmatic activities under the Inclusive and Equitable Learning Team’s portfolio.
• Contribute to the coordination of the Equitable Education Alliance, focusing on out-of-school children and youth and other marginalized and vulnerable groups.
• Assist in raising awareness on ‘all for education’ and promoting innovative solutions to remove persistent inequalities in education.
• Facilitate access to flexible learning and lifelong learning programmes.
• Employ innovative approaches to drive policy and capacity development for Member States.
• Enhance understanding of equitable education and lifelong learning development in Southeast Asian countries.
• Strengthen knowledge and skills in the UN system’s programmatic work, including planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring.
Requirements
• A relevant university degree in education, social sciences, or a related field.
• Experience in education programming, particularly in equity and inclusion.
• Knowledge of the challenges faced by marginalized groups in accessing education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
