Assistant Fund Manager (Digital Asset Fund)
About this position
Responsibilities
• Manage and construct digital asset fund strategy with fund manager to achieve higher returns relative to benchmark and achieve performance target adhering to company internal guideline and SEC regulation framework
• Perform return attribution analysis in identifying source of alpha to improve portfolio performance and provide detailed analysis on fund past performance compared to domestic and global peers
• Work closely with investment analysts to monitor digital asset market / important macro development and crypto-related issues to identify trading opportunities in generating alpha based on market-timing signals and through fundamental analysis.
• Be able to perform portfolio back-testing strategy and various optimization models to develop new innovative products that are within internal risk guidelines and propose to IC and RMC for approval
• Quarterly review and screen digital asset investment universe with investment analyst according to investment policy framework and perform both quantitative and qualitative analysis on each DA thoroughly
• Prepare and provide marketing content occasionally to marketing department to update important market events, industry trend and other investment-related topics as well as be in part responsible for live content through various social media platforms
• Quarterly prepare and report fund performance with FM to prospective private fund/ wealth clients on site or/and off-site in term of overall performance review and provide detailed analysis on active/passive fund management strategy for clients understanding
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or higher in related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in investment/fund management or research in digital asset companies or relevant role in financial service industry and have deep understanding of digital asset mechanism and be able to perform fundamental analysis based on relevant factors including on-chain analysis and narrative tracking etc.
• Fund Manager / Analyst license and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder is a big plus (but not required)
• Experiences and strong passion in digital asset
• High integrity, results-oriented and self-motivated with strong leadership qualities and good teamwork capabilities
• Good verbal and written English communication proficiency.
