Junior Engineer – Automation & Digital
About this position
Responsibilities
• Develop and manage online PLC tags, linking data to the OPC system (OPC Kepware or similar).
• Configure and modify PLC logic to ensure accurate sensor data collection (e.g., machine status, product counts, reject rates, and operational data.
• Ensure seamless integration of PLC and sensor data into OEE and SPC tracking systems using OPC UA .
• Extract and visualize fault codes from PLCs for real-time equipment performance monitoring.
• Support troubleshooting of PLC-to-OPC connectivity and automation/data acquisition systems to maintain optimal production efficiency.
• Work with Digital engineers and data analysts to ensure data accuracy and system stability.
Requirements
• Intermediate PLC programming skills (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar), with experience in OPC UA-based industrial data integration using OPC Kepware.
• Understanding of networking concepts (e.g., OPC, Modbus) and IoT platforms for machine connectivity and real-time data acquisition.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve automation system issues.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to present technical findings to cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with SCADA, MES, and industrial automation platforms (preferred but not required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Automation, Mechatronics, Control, Instrumentation).
• 0–3 years of experience in automation, industrial control, or digital transformation projects.
• Hands-on experience with PLC systems, industrial control systems, and data acquisition.
• Familiarity with digital tools like Microsoft Power BI, Grafana (preferred but not required).
• Strong command of both written and spoken English.
