Customer Adaptation Engineer
About this position
The Customer Adaptation Engineer acts as a liaison between the sales organization and the customer adaptation requests, ensuring timely responses and effective solutions.
Responsibilities
• Acts as the single point of contact toward the sales organization for CA requests with timely response.
• Validate that the CA request is understood, search and identify potential available CA solutions, select concept and determine level of stakeholder involvement.
• Cooperate with UD Trucks Technology to develop unique solution for specific CA request.
• Coordinate with business control to assess affect of CA solution to secure sufficient Regional Value Content (RVC) percentage.
• Coordinate purchasing process of components and superstructures for either in-house or external adaptations.
• Update configuration of the truck to accommodate for the CA solution.
• Work closely with process engineer, KD plant coordinator and Operations team to secure correctness of BoM, Assembly Instruction and technical instruction.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholder to deliver CA solution in good quality and at the right time.
• Resolve all technical issues related to CA solution.
• Perform according to safety and environment procedure.
• Support and work on business assignment from direct manager.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial / Mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in Automotive field.
• Highly organized and able to cope with multitask.
• Knowledge of product structure and assembly sequence.
• Good problem solving skill.
• Good communication and presentation skill.
• Good project management skill is a plus.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office, Auto Cad, CATIA.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
