Supply Chain (EVP Level)
About this position
The Supply Chain EVP is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency, manage supplier relationships, oversee logistics, and lead a high-performing team while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities
• Strategic Planning: Develop, implement, and maintain supply chain strategies that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support business growth objectives.
• Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services. Negotiate contracts and agreements for the supply of goods and services.
• Logistics and Distribution: Oversee logistics operations, including the transportation and distribution of goods. Optimize routing, shipping methods, and warehousing solutions to ensure timely delivery and minimize transportation costs.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and customer demands while minimizing excess stock. Implement inventory control processes, including demand forecasting and replenishment strategies.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the supply chain team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
• Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve supply chain processes, utilizing lean principles and data analytics to streamline operations and reduce waste.
• Budget Management: Prepare and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost control and efficiency across all areas of the supply chain.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., production, sales, finance) to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
Requirements
• Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 2 years in management role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP, SAP).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Familiarity with global sourcing and logistics.
