About this position

The Buyer / Senior Buyer position involves leading strategic procurement for Capex and MRO categories across global subsidiaries, handling contract negotiation and management, and developing procurement projects to achieve cost savings and improve payments.

Responsibilities

• Provide procurement support for effective and timely project execution.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for spend categories by interacting and aligning with key stakeholders.
• Initiate Procurement strategies to successfully drive cost saving on MRO and capex category.
• Ensure the best Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to achieve Capex performance target.
• Be a key member of project execution team, drive better understanding on the key elements of the capex, developing relevant RFI/ RFP packages, if required.
• Perform bid evaluations and develop recommendations.
• Work with legal team to ensure supplier agreements are in place and oversee contract management.
• Manage and negotiate supply contract to optimize economic value of the relationship, shore up supply chain vulnerabilities and protect the organization against risk.
• Establish strong project management to oversee control on project spends, delivery schedule to ensure ‘on time’ and ‘under budget’ completion of the project.
• Stay current on any changes of both domestic and overseas in either the supply of or demand for needed products and materials to ensure the Company's competitiveness.
