About this position

The Engineering Technician - APU position involves attending technical training, performing inspections and analyses on gas turbine engines, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Attend technical training program and learn the skills necessary to perform the job.
• With appropriate supervision, disassemble, clean, inspect, and analyze gas turbine engines and engine accessories for various types of engine models.
• Must demonstrate the skill level required to perform analytical inspection using the latest inspection tooling as well as using visual inspection guides.
• Prepare documentation required to compile the engine or engine accessory quotation, including the use of customer build standards, Service Bulletins, and DER repairs.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and process sheets.
• Read, interpret, and execute work instructions.
• Follow all company policies, including safety and quality instructions.
• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good lean manufacturing 5S practices.
• Work upon the supervisor’s request or any other job duties as assigned by the employer.
• Liaise with EMR on matters pertaining to EMS.
• Aware of environmental aspects.
• Follow the implementation of corrective & preventive actions.
• Investigate active failures to establish the ‘why’ and ‘how’ with the objective of identifying contributing factors and recommending preventing measures or changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering field and welcome the new graduated.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English and computer literacy is required. If have TOEIC score will be advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge of overhauling (teardown, inspection, build).
• Must be capable of reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and work instructions.
• Able to read, interpret, and understand OHM, CMM Manual, IPCs and/or Specification.
• Hands on skill in measuring equipment.
• Ability to coordinate and work well with other departments and individuals within the organization.
• Have a strong team orientation.
• Have a strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good process troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work shifts/weekends when needed.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
