The Material Planning Engineer (Overseas) is responsible for ensuring effective material scheduling strategies and processes to meet production requirements while optimizing costs and maintaining minimum inventory levels.
• Ensure that material scheduling strategy and processes are in place and work effectively in order to ensure material supply meets production requirements with minimum inventory levels, whilst optimizing costs.
• Ensure delivery schedule to meet the schedule plan as involved parties require
• Contribute to supplier meetings and negotiations to ensure demand for materials is met.
• Review supplier capacity to meet with customer demand.
• Monitor production status, ensure timely delivery, provide excellent service and ensure customer satisfaction- ability to analyze bottleneck process and implement the solution
• Assist in production risk assessment, mitigation activities, determine equipment, materials and manpower required to complete production. Also evaluate current production processes then recommend improvements
• Participate in engineering changes such as production line extensions and/or new product launches to endure orderly transition for production flow
• Maintaining SAP Parameter , BOM , CT
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Logistic Engineer or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience management level for Raw Material planning or Production Planning.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing and knowledge Incoterm would be advantage.
• Experience for SAP system.
• Proactive and service minded and can work under pressure and changing.
• Good interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Good command of English.
