About this position
The Cost Accounting Officer is responsible for collecting and verifying data on costs, preparing reports, analyzing production losses, and conducting inventory counts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
• Collect and verify data on raw materials, labor costs, and overhead; establish standard costs for products.
• Accurately calculate actual production costs and prepare periodic production cost reports.
• Prepare reports comparing actual product costs to standard costs.
• Analyze excess production losses and costs; provide recommendations for management.
• Conduct accurate and up-to-date periodic inventory counts of products and raw materials.
• Prepare reconciliations of physical inventory counts for products, raw materials, consumables, and spare parts against accounting system balances.
• Prepare periodic inventory reports (comparing standard costs to actual costs).
• Adjust product cost entries for accuracy and reconcile inventory balances periodically.
• Calculate wages for subcontractors producing finished goods.
• Coordinate with relevant internal and external departments.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors and comply with relevant standard system requirements.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience in industrial settings.
• At least 2 years of specialized knowledge in cost accounting.
• Diligent, patient, detail-oriented, and responsible.
• Proficient in computer skills or accounting-related software.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
