About this position

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for utilizing continuous improvement methodologies to enhance plant operations, focusing on throughput, cost, and quality while fostering a data-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Use continuous improvement methodologies (six sigma, Lean etc), review and optimize plant operations to drive improvement in throughput, cost (product yield, utility use etc) and quality.
• Focus on getting smarter with current operations, rather than identifying CAPEX solutions.
• Foster a culture of data driven decision making, through the championing of data analysis tools throughout TPBI Rayong – delivery of training and coaching in this field.
• Support plant in day to day operations and problem solving.
• Identify potential new plant and equipment that may benefit business & assess from production, quality and commercial perspective.
• Maintain contacting both internal TPBI and external network to identify and introduce best practice from other locations / businesses, with focusing on the activities of continuous improvement professionals globally.
• Demonstrate understanding of the role of manufacturing in the business & able to align projects to the business objectives and priorities. Able to balance cost / risk / benefits.
• Show leadership through hands-on commitment to solve problems / improve performance. Able to sell his ideas passionately to others.
• Identify and prove innovative, creative, practical solutions to operational plant problems and cost saving / throughput opportunities.
• Proven ability to assimilate complex information, data and processes and draw meaningful, accurate conclusions. Able to recommend and implement reliable solutions and improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 year- experienced in process engineering within manufacturing environment, preferably plastic packaging.
• Minimum 3 year-experienced of continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, etc) – preferably Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt qualified.
• Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering or related manufacturing fields.
• Good communication skill and presentation skill.
• Good command in English.
• Good understanding engineering, scientific and other technical information.
