About this position

The Section Manager (Production) is responsible for leading and managing the production section to achieve targets, quality standards, and efficiency goals while ensuring smooth operations and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the production in section to achieve the targets, quality standards, and efficiency goals.
• Oversee the entire process, from setup to finished product, ensuring that production runs smoothly and meets deadlines.
• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to optimize resource allocation and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with other departments such as planning quality control, maintenance and etc. to ensure seamless production workflows.
• Monitor and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to the line process and equipment, ensuring quick resolution to minimize production delays.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives and introduce new technologies or methodologies to boost productivity.
• Manage and develop the production team, providing training and mentoring to enhance skill levels and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies throughout the production process.
• Track and report key production metrics to upper management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Management or related field.
• 10 years’ experience in the quality function in Automotive will be advantage.
• Good knowledge in IATF 16949, ISO14000 and ISO45001.
• Good knowledge and skill in technical problem analyze e.g. 8D report, 5 Why Analyze, Control chart etc.
• Good in leadership, problem-solving skills, analytic skill and decision-making.
• Highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a team.
• Ability to work with diverse teams of employees and customers.
