Regional Head of Solution Design
About this position
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the leadership of the solution engineer team which is based in countries across Asia, focused on developing commercial solutions for new business opportunities
• Client Solutions Response Management: Oversee the entire tender process with includes the development of response format/pricing matrix/responding to queries to timely submission of RFI, RFP and RFQ to customer/sponsors. Responsible for the maintenance of the organizations content database and case studies, including SCM Solutions (which may include web and marketing collateral)
• Warehousing & Distribution Solution Design: Collaborate with key stakeholders in the Toll Group to ensure a proposed solution solves the clients’ problem. Provide analysis and design support in the pursuit of new business, inclusive of requirement clarifications, tender evaluations, manpower calculations, infrastructure investments and design. Develop “thought leadership” in key areas/topics of interest within Intralogistics
• Knowledge Management: Maintain all reference and support materials in an organized, indexed directory which is up to date and clearly allows users to use the right standards. Representative of Logistics/SCM for collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint) for the region, including contributions to development, uploading and administration of materials. Conduct research and development into auto-proposal builders and maintain a robust current set of building blocks. Contribute to Marketing of capabilities in terms of web presence, social or traditional media
• Standard Methodology & Training: As part of the overall Toll regional SCS effort, support on the development, deployment and continuous improvement of Toll’s Customer workflow and the Knowledge Reference Library
Requirements
• Master’s in Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain Management and/or MBA
• 10-15 years working experience in related Logistics industry in at least two different Asian countries or regional roles, with at least 3-5 years of experience within or managing operations
• Advanced professional writing, communication and presentation skills. Highly evolved design skills. Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong MS Office, MS Teams, incl Excel modelling with VB. IE/Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent competencies
• Knowledge of the following topics: storage mediums, material handling equipment, space analysis, manpower analysis, inventory/SKU analysis, operational key performance indicators, continuous improvement initiatives, transportation methods, packaging, secondary operations, costing
• Working knowledge of Logistics systems incl WMS/TMS/ERP and interfacing thereof an advantage
