Assistant Manager / Manager - Database Administration
About this position
Database Administrator Manager is responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining the company's databases. The database administrators' duties include maintaining adherence to a data management policy and ensuring that company databases are functional and backed up.
Responsibilities
• Database Administrator : Design, implement, and maintain database systems,
• Building database systems of high availability and quality,
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses,
• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users,
• Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards,
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity,
• Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required,
• Leadership and Project Management : Lead, design and manage a small to medium size of projects,
• Provide support for production deployment,
• IT Governance : Ensure effective and efficient use of IT in enabling organizations to achieve its goals.
• Manage life cycle of IT policies, procedures, baselines, and guidelines,
• IT and Security Awareness : Aware on matters relating to security subject once manage database systems,
• Relationship Management : Manage and maintain good and professional relationship with all stakeholders in order to give/take corroborations and feedbacks.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s of Master's degree in computer science or a related information technology field.
• 5 - 10 years of experience as Database Administrator with MS SQL and other database systems.
• Proven working experience as a Database Administrator.
• Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and MS SQL.
• Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.
• Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools.
• Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
• Good command of spoken and written English or Reference TOEIC scorer 600.
