Supply Chain Director
About this position
The Supply Chain Director is responsible for developing and implementing supply chain strategies, managing raw materials and inventory, overseeing production and logistics, and ensuring risk management and continuity in the supply chain.
Responsibilities
• Develop short- and long-term supply chain strategies to ensure efficient production and procurement of raw materials.
• Improve and optimize supply chain processes in the factory to align with the organization’s goals.
• Plan and manage raw material sourcing in line with production demands.
• Control inventory levels and manage warehouses to ensure timely response to demand.
• Oversee production to meet market demand and plan for efficient production operations.
• Manage logistics, including shipping and distribution, to ensure on-time delivery and operational efficiency.
• Assess risks in the supply chain, such as raw material shortages or delivery issues, and prepare contingency plans.
• Build supply chain stability by strengthening relationships with suppliers and business partners.
• Collaborate with finance, production, and marketing teams to ensure supply chain management supports business objectives.
• Work with other departments on new product development and the procurement of appropriate materials.
• Manage and develop the supply chain team, providing training to enhance operational efficiency.
• Plan team development and manage human resources to align with organizational goals.
• Analyze supply chain data to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare reports and provide insights to senior management regarding operational performance.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in supply chain management or production management in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in managing large teams and working across multiple departments within an organization.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and coordinate teams efficiently.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex and high-risk situations.
• Proficiency in analyzing supply chain data and developing strategies to improve processes.
• Ability to plan both short- and long-term to manage organizational resources effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in both Thai and English, with the ability to present plans and information to senior executives clearly and effectively.
• Knowledge of supply chain management systems and software commonly used in manufacturing environments, such as ERP, MRP, or WMS.
• Familiarity with new technologies and their application in improving supply chain processes.
• Strong negotiation skills when working with suppliers and logistics providers to secure the best possible terms for the organization.
