Quality Engineer
About this position
The Quality Engineer will be responsible to set up, maintain for quality assurance, quality systems, and quality awareness within the Plant as well as serve as the key contact for communication and problem-resolution with customers.
Responsibilities
• Establish plans, monitor, maintain and continuously improve the site’s quality system in accordance with the company’s objectives and IATF 16949, customer specific requirement.
• Devises, create the procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, reliability to assure the accuracy of products, processes.
• Conduct or schedule the auditors to perform the internal and external QMS, Process, and Product audits. Analyze all elements of the QMS and judge its degree of adherence to the criteria of IATF 16949, customer specific requirements, and corporate policies and communicate audit results and audit report and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective action / follow-up.
• Represents the company by interfacing with customers. Act as the main contact of internal and external audit. Develop and coordinate the corrective action and plan.
• Prepares reports by collecting, interpreting, analyzing, and summarizing data of quality performance, trend. Take appropriate action and make recommendations.
• Response to the quality problem and analyze the root cause and creation of corrective action plan and 8D report and assist the operating unit with development, implementation, and improvement overall compliance with the quality system.
• Control of inspection equipment’s and tools to ensure the equipments are in the good condition for inspection and calibrated on plan.
• Participate in the APQP process.
• Handle for Submission of PPAP to customer.
• Responsible to follow and make sure that inventory transaction relation to quality activities in computer system is accurate and timely entry in system.
• Have a duty to responsible and cooperating on the environment, safety, and quality of the company.
Requirements
• Bachelor of Engineering or related field.
• Proven and successful track record working in a Quality-related role within the Automotive Industry.
• Preferably at least 3-5 years experience in quality assurance / engineering.
• Knowledge and experience of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work across a number of disciplines and nationalities in a professional and effective manner.
• Must be able to demonstrate tenacity in pursuing quality goal and the ability to effectively manage during adverse situations.
• Specific training in Quality Control Systems and Quality Assurance preferred.
• Good command of spoken and written English / communication skill.
• A good team player and can work under pressure.
• Hand-on and “can do” attitude is desirable.
• Problem resolving skill with internal process and customer side.
