Regional Technical Sales Specialist, Purification - Bioproduction
About this position
We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to support the BioProduction Purification business covering the Southeast Asia and Taiwan region.
Responsibilities
• Take the lead in technical product specification, application, and protocol optimization discussions with clients and prospects for the purification product portfolio in the Bioproduction Division (BPD) offering.
• Assist the commercial team in identifying customer opportunities, needs, and resolving the technical feasibility of purification requests and opportunities.
• Serve as the primary field-based technical interface to potential and existing purification customers.
• Support POROS and CaptureSelect product lines and new product development activities for downstream processing.
• Provide consultation on product evaluations, purification process development, chromatography optimization, and troubleshooting, supporting pilot to large-scale columns.
• Offer guidance on regulatory strategies during the evaluation, qualification, and validation of bioproduction solutions.
• Demonstrate advanced uses of purification products, developing proof statements and marketing literature to support product launches and commercial teams.
• Join training programs for Commercial teams & Thermo Fisher Scientific staff, and host seminars for external customers to raise awareness about the purification product line & services, strengths you'll need, and improve the technical skills of the BPD team.
• Harmonize with the global Go-To-Market vision by ensuring regional alignment with the Purification business unit (BU).
• Collaborate with business and marketing colleagues to identify market segments, analyze customer feedback, and create product positioning statements.
• Discover new sales opportunities through pre-sales activities and strive to successfully implement and complete the annual sales target.
Requirements
• B.S. or equivalent experience in biochemistry, bioprocess, chemical engineering, biotechnology, biology, or chemistry.
• You should have at least 8 years of experience in downstream process development. This includes developing, scaling, and validating chromatography-based purification methods.
• Experience in a similar role with a chromatography resin vendor in a commercial setting is preferred.
• Understanding of cGMP regulatory environment.
• Proven ability to work as part of a highly effective team of professionals.
• Self-motivated, proactive work ethics, with the ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision from the manager.
• Willingness to travel.
• Proficiency in spoken and written english.
