The Siam Gypsum Industry (SGI) or “Elephant Gypsum Board” was established in July 1982 to manufacture and supply gypsum wall and ceiling solutions. It categorizes Elephant Gypsum Board products into 6 categories: gypsum boards, gypsum tiles, metal profiles, gypsum compounds, gypsum partition systems, and accessories for walls and ceilings. In 2021, Elephant Gypsum Board changed its main shareholders and entered into a joint venture with Knauf, the world's leading building materials company, and Siam Cement Group (SCG), the leading innovative construction materials and chemicals company in Thailand. Elephant Gypsum Board currently operates three factories and has a production capacity of more than 100 million square meters of gypsum boards per year, allowing it to meet the needs of customers throughout the country, including customers in more than 28 countries. The factory is located in SIL Industrial Estate, which has two factories in Saraburi province and one in Southern Industrial Estate Chalung in Songkhla, with the head office in Bangkok. About this position

To provide assurance of accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting for both statutory and group reports, in compliance with legal requirements, regulations, and group standards. This includes ensuring full compliance with all tax obligations. Additionally, the mission is to maintain proper internal controls and enhance the efficiency of business processes, covering both operations and IT systems within the scope of responsibility.

Responsibilities

Operation – Accounting
• Ensure accurate and timely financial record-keeping.
• Maintain efficient processes and ERP systems to support business operations and growth.
• Lead process or procedural changes to enhance efficiency, meet business requirements, and ensure proper internal controls.
• Provide leadership and guidance to all accounting teams, including the Plant Finance team.

Financial Reporting
• Lead the monthly and yearly financial closings for Thailand’s entities, collaborating with relevant departments (including Plant Accounting).
• Ensure that financial statements are accurate, complete, and submitted on time in compliance with Thai and Group Accounting Standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure the timely issuance of certified financial reports (both Group and Statutory Financial Statements).

Corporate Taxation
• Ensure compliance with all tax requirements, including timely tax submissions. Liaise with the Revenue Department to ensure smooth audits and clearance.
• Reliability of Financial Information Ensure reliable processes and ERP systems are in place to produce accurate financial information.

Compliance
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, tax laws, company policies, and the organization’s Limit of Authority.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5-8 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Thai and Group Accounting Standards
• Expertise in month-end and year-end closings, financial statement preparation, and compliance with local and international accounting standards
• Familiar with corporate taxation and legal compliance requirements
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
• Fluent command of English, both written and spoken
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and a service-oriented mindset
