The Area Sales Manager (Northeast) is responsible for driving sales of plasterboard and all company products through distribution channels, developing strong relationships with the distribution network, and executing marketing strategies to achieve sales targets in the northeastern region.
• Responsible for driving sales of plasterboard and all company products through distribution channels, with existing and potential customers to achieve sales target and market share in the northeastern region.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with distribution network including dealer, sub-dealers, and general construction stores, ensuring effective product availability, stock levels, and robust product support across the region.
• Conduct market research and collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote the company’s products to target customers in the distribution network, including contractors, builders, and homeowners. This involves developing and executing targeted marketing campaigns, organizing product training sessions, and implementing in-store promotions to enhance product positioning, brand awareness, and drive sales.
• Collect and analyze local market data, including competitor activities, distribution network performance, and pricing trends, to inform and design tailored marketing campaigns and promotional activities that address the specific needs of the local market.
• Develop, execute, monitor, and evaluate local marketing strategies, while tracking regional sales forecasts and regional market share.
• Manage, educate, and develop business plans in partnership with key-account dealers, specialist dealers, and sub-dealers to strengthen relationships, expand market reach, and achieve sales targets.
• Create yearly sales plans, marketing activities, and local promotions to drive consistent growth and align with market trends.
• Coordinate with related departments, such as customer service, sales operations, and logistics for troubleshooting, sales processes, and customer services to ensure smooth operations, timely order fulfillment and delivery.
• Other assignment from supervisor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Office; Salesforce experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of the sales cycle, including product placement, promotions, trade marketing, and pricing strategies.
• Experience in market analysis, pricing, promotions, and forecasting.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach; proven ability to build and maintain business relationships.
• Honest, trustworthy, and performance-driven, with a high level of motivation and focus on achieving goals.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, able to convey information clearly.
• Ability to think critically and strategically about business development opportunities.
• Strong market awareness and understanding of industry.
The Siam Gypsum Industry (SGI) or “Elephant Gypsum Board” was established in July 1982 to manufacture and supply gypsum wall and ceiling solutions. It categorizes Elephant Gypsum Board products into 6 categories: gypsum boards, gypsum tiles, metal profiles, gypsum compounds, gypsum partition systems, and accessories for walls and ceilings. In 2021, Elephant Gypsum Board changed its main shareholders and entered into a joint venture with Knauf, the world's leading building materials company, and Siam Cement Group (SCG), the leading innovative construction materials and chemicals company in Thailand. Elephant Gypsum Board currently operates three factories and has a production capacity of more than 100 million square meters of gypsum boards per year, allowing it to meet the needs of customers throughout the country, including customers in more than 28 countries. The factory is located in SIL Industrial Estate, which has two factories in Saraburi province and one in Southern Industrial Estate Chalung in Songkhla, with the head office in Bangkok.
