Raw Material Planning Manager
About this position
The position involves managing raw material planning and execution to ensure efficient operations while complying with regulations and achieving inventory targets.
Responsibilities
• Generate Raw Material requirements for the S&OP horizon for the cluster.
• Execute RM Planning S&OE activities (execution and vendor supply scheduling) so as to ensure no stoppage of Plant whilst ensuring no excessive DSI whilst ensuring compliance to the Country Government Regulations, Customs Tariff etc.
• Is responsible for all standard KPIs as defined or required by RM Function.
• Accountable for meeting and delivering the AOP DSI (Tonnage) inventory.
• Lead the RM role in S&OE Governance meetings.
• Mastery in the RM Planning end2end Process.
• Deployment on Tools to support the Raw Material Planning process aligned with end to end process.
• Support new programs/projects associated with RM processes across plants.
• BOM accuracy management by coordinating with Plant Quality & Technology organization.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in any other related courses.
• 7 - 10 years of related work experience with MNC manufacturing company in Supply Chain function/operations management role with demonstrated capability of leading teams.
• Good experience with lean methodologies, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvements, and Operations Planning.
• Ability to define, develop, and manage highly complex processes and to drive efficiency improvements.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with people in variety functions within the organizations as well as with higher mgmt team.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills and ability to articulate complex issues.
• Understanding of S&OP and S&OE process from end to end, inventory strategy and production planning.
• Experienced in working in a matrix organization of businesses, understanding of business issues, metrics and customer value.
• Materials Management knowledge, Process and Analytical skills, MRP and SAP / SAP-PP.
• Able to manage as well as interface with associates at levels above and below within the company.
• Ability to clearly define / apply process solutions and understand tools that can drive continuous improvements.
• Ability to communicate concisely and work in a cross-functional environment in country, region and global.
• Ability to drive change management initiatives or developing new capabilities.
