Senior Officer - R&D
About this position
The Senior Officer - R&D position involves leading product and process development in the Starch and Food Business sectors, focusing on innovation, project management, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Primarily, working to deliver new product design/ new product concepts or new platforms to expand company product portfolio.
• Conducting process and product analysis to ensure new products achieve defined business target.
• Develop new measurement methods & technologies for NPDs.
• Optimize and scale up from lab scale to pilot scale and commercial scale up.
• Coordinate with factory and supervise on maintaining or improving product quality, improving production process and troubleshooting of existing products.
• Product Development: Lead the development of new food products from concept to commercialization, including formulation, testing, and scale-up.
• Innovation: Research and apply new ingredients, technologies, and trends to create innovative food products.
• Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, procurement, production, and quality assurance, to ensure successful product launches.
• Sensory Evaluation: Conduct sensory evaluations and consumer testing to optimize product formulations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with relevant food safety and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of formulations, processes, and experimental results.
• Market Analysis: Stay updated with industry trends, market demands, and competitor products to drive strategic innovation.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Food Science and Technology or equivalent field of science.
• 3-5 years' experience in research and development, production in food factory. Starch, Flour business is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of product development from bench top to full scale production.
• Broad knowledge of starch, food chemistry.
• Good leadership skills, able to work independently, manage multi-task, and work under pressure.
• Good understanding of GMP, HACCP, ISO22000, FSSC22000 and FDA regulatory.
• Good English communication skills.
• Computer skill: Microsoft Office and adaptable to data analyzing.
• Able to travel upcountry (Thai Wah Factory).
• Strong problem-solving and analysis skills, creativity, and communication skills (able to communicate in English is a plus).
• Ability to translate consumer and market insights into new product development that align with market needs and anticipate future trends.
