Quality Control Supervisor
About this position
As the Quality Control Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role to ensure the raw materials, in-process control and finished goods meet or exceed TVO, customer and international standard specifications for quality and food-safety related requirements. In this role, you will develop the documentations of specific systems including instrumentation’s calibration and PM plan, Standard of procedure and Work instructions. Acting as a team liaison between QC and production/process team to support daily Plant production activities is also part of the role.
Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain all day-to-day QC operation activities to ensure quality compliance of raw materials, in-process control and finished goods from start to end.
• Ensure all analytical instruments are maintained in the optimum condition. Manage and ensure calibration and PM plan is always up-to-date and in accordance with Quality system regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate and prepare new testing and method validation according to new processes/products procedure to ensure the up-to-date method, accuracy and reliability.
• Supervise and train quality control inspectors, ensure that all team members are familiar with quality standards and procedures, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
• Investigate product complaints from the customer by working closely with sale & marketing department, assist the production/process in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Resolves quality defects by directing investigation of the cause of non-conforming materials.
• Ensure quality system compliance to ISO9001, ISO/IEC17025, ISO45001, GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSC22000 and Halal.
• Coordinating internal and external audit teams, ensuring all audit findings are addressed and corrective actions are implemented, and maintaining records of audit results and follow-up actions are also key responsibilities.
• Provide data support to customer service and marketing teams and prepare quality reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
• Bachelor degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Food Science or closely related discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 Years experience in Laboratory quality control/assurance, ideally, in Food & beverage, edible oil, feed or FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Familiar and experienced in Laboratory analytical instruments such as GC, HPLC, Auto titrator, Karl-Fischer, Lovibond color, Viscometer and Proximate analysis etc.
• Good understanding in Food safety regulation, Food Manufacturing Process, functional food, edible oil.
