Maintenance Planning Engineer
About this position
The Maintenance Planning Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing maintenance strategies, managing resources, analyzing and improving maintenance processes, controlling costs, supporting maintenance operations, managing documentation, and innovating maintenance practices.
Responsibilities
• Develop preventive (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) schedules.
• Create inspection and maintenance timelines for machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Evaluate spare parts, materials, and tools needed for maintenance.
• Allocate manpower and time efficiently to execute maintenance plans.
• Investigate root causes of machinery issues and propose preventative solutions.
• Prepare detailed reports on maintenance outcomes and machine performance.
• Ensure maintenance costs stay within budget.
• Recommend process improvements to minimize costs and boost efficiency.
• Provide guidance to the maintenance team on complex issues.
• Coordinate seamlessly with production, procurement, and other departments.
• Prepare manuals, maintenance schedules, and operational records.
• Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for planning and data entry.
• Explore new technologies for maintenance optimization.
• Support the development of modern, efficient maintenance systems.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related fields).
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or maintenance planning.
• Strong knowledge of PM, CM, and CMMS systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with effective time management abilities.
• Knowledge of Lean Maintenance or TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
• Experience with planning software like SAP PM or Maximo.
• Project management expertise.
• Proficiency in English for professional communication.
