About this position

The Assistant Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring optimal equipment performance while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure the effective execution of maintenance activities across the plant, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
• Lead and develop a team of skilled technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
• Plan, schedule, and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing innovative solutions to improve operational processes.
• Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals and ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices, as well as relevant safety standards.
• Hands-on experience with automated systems, conveyors, and other food production machinery is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically under pressure.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
